In times of trial, where is our trust; in times of fear where do we go?
How can a person face trial and the things he fears with confidence? How can a man cope in difficult times or times of great distress?
When I am afraid,
I will trust in you.
In God, whose word I praise,
in God I trust; I will not be afraid.
What can mortal man do to me?
Psalm 56:3-4
It is in God that we place our trust; it is in God that we place our hope, for He is our rock and our strength, our hope and our salvation. We will praise His name, we will recall His words and place our confidence in them, for it was by His Word that the universe can into being.
Thankyou for this encouraging word! Needed to hear it!
Excellent, thanks!

I need to now worry and let God work

Sometimes we want to have it all in our control. But we don’t nothing to do but surrender to God
Very true
Amen! There is no other.
I have a Bible student in northern Iraq I converted from Islam two years ago. She then converted her husband and father. Their city is just 100 miles from the last city ISIS conquered. Though all my students are very fearful when they leave Islam and become Christians, they conquer their fear and do it anyway. Every weekend I send them a worship guide for that Sunday that can be held in any language. They worship behind locked doors. I wrote a series of lessons for them once called “You Can Be A Hero Alone”. They are in hiding in Iraq, Afghanistan, Iran, Yemen and Palestine. Pray mightily for them.
Amazing stuff, thank you for sharing it… and will do!
I will trust the Lord at all times, his praises shall forever be in my mouth. Once we really learn to trust God, our lives will be transformed. Check out my new book Chasing Signs. It speaks on trusting God.Psalm 56:3-4 is one an awesome Psalm! http://www.lulu.com/shop/lashondra-graves/chasing-signs/paperback/product-21802332.html
Yep, it sure is!
The endings for Deuteronomy and Joshua call for God’s people to trust in him. How sad that though they said they would, they were told they wouldn’t, and mostly they didn’t. But what wonderful blessings he poured out on them, even in their direst circumstances, when they did!
Yes sir, He sure did! (and does)

I love that Psalm. The one passage that God gave to me in song 21 years ago. Still remember the melody and sing it everytime I come upon it.
It’s a great one, thanks!
