  1. I have pointed this out to a few people although not this example. The one I used is when the rich man approaches Jesus and asks what he must do for eternal life. Jesus tells him and the rich man walks away. Jesus does not go chasing after him to beg him to reconsider or go after him to harass. Jesus lets him go and then tells his listeners that for a rich man to inherit eternal life is equivalent to trying to thread a rope through a needle. Some people spend too much time with the people who have rejected them. Leave them be, they may return themselves some time later.
