  1. Amen! Perfectly said. Another problem with “fallen” terminology is when it embraces the idea of “original sin,” meaning we’re born sinners because of Adam. As you probably know, this idea came from Augustine who could not read Greek, only Latin, so he took the Vulgate rendition of Rom.5:12, “in whom all have sinned” instead of what the Greek says, “because all have sinned.” We are sinners because we sin. We can’t blame Adam or God, but as you said, God gave us His grace and life to overcome our propensity to sin. That is good news!
