The Journey: Spiritual Practices

This series of posts began in Fall 2013, and covers many spiritual practices, sometimes called disciplines.  These are things we do in the course of our spiritual lives to focus on our relations with God,  to enhance our walk with our Lord, and to grow in our faith.  This is my journey of self examination, a journey to discover what areas of my spiritual life need improvement, and while it is not an exhaustive list of practices, it may help you do undertake your own journey of discovery.

  1. Love this concept – a step by step journey you’re leading your readers through. A thirst-quenching offer of living water. An invitation to wade out into the deep. I look forward to exploring each of these further. Be blessed!

  2. We are impressed by your wonderful blog and your encouraging words! May the Lord bless you in your work!

      1. Thank you! I wondered what I was going to use for my devotions and quiet time while on vacation. Now I know. I printed pages to take with me. I write devotionals but that doesn’t count for me. I read and learn from others during my quiet time.

  3. Thank you for the like, Don, and thank you for your informative blogs. You have no idea how many lives you are touching, teetering on the precipice of indecision. Continue being faithful at your post and stay the course.

  4. First, thanks so much for checking out my new, “under construction” blog and leading me to yours which took me about 5 seconds to realize yours was one I want to follow! I will definitely be back as the Holy Spirit knows exactly where we need to go to get motivated AND inspired to do HIS will!
God bless you richly in your service (ministry) to our Lord and to all of us!

  5. Thanks for dropping in and liking The Celestial Proposal blog! I’ve wanted a mentor in Christian Blogging and it definitely looks like you’re “it”! Your professionalism and real-ness is a great combination in your blog. I think even the angels applaud!
